What the Customer in Wednesbury Wanted

A homeowner in Wednesbury came to me wanting a full bathroom transformation. The existing bathroom was tired and dated. They wanted something that felt completely different. Clean lines, quality finishes, and a room that actually felt worth spending time in.

They had a clear idea of the look they were after. Marble effect tiling, gold fixtures, and a layout that made the most of the space they had. My job was to take that vision and make it happen, from stripping the old room back to handing over the finished space.

What We Fitted in the Bathroom

We started from scratch. The old suite came out completely, the walls were prepared, and we worked through the installation in the right order so everything lined up properly.

The tiling went in first. We used marble effect tiles throughout, which give a high-end look without the cost and upkeep of real marble. The gold fixtures were fitted to match, including the brassware on the basin and shower. The two tones work really well together in this room.

We fitted a concealed shower. That means the valve and pipework sit behind the wall so you just see a clean plate and a handle rather than exposed pipework. It makes a big difference to how the finished wall looks.

The toilet is a back to wall model. The cistern, which is the tank that holds the water, is hidden inside the wall cavity. Again, this keeps the room looking uncluttered.

We installed a vanity sink unit. This is a basin that sits on top of a storage cabinet underneath, so the customer gets a tidy place to store bathroom essentials as well as a stylish sink.

A towel radiator was fitted to keep the room warm and give somewhere to hang towels. We also laid oak effect flooring across the full floor area, which complements the marble tiling on the walls without competing with it.

How the Finished Bathroom Turned Out

The customer was really happy with the result. The room went from a tired, plain space to something that looks and feels completely new. The marble effect tiling runs floor to ceiling in the shower area, and the gold fixtures pull the whole look together.

Everything in this job was fitted by me directly. I carried out the full installation including the plumbing, tiling, flooring, and fitting of every fixture. There was no passing work between different trades. The customer had one person to deal with from start to finish.
