Bathroom Installation in Wednesbury, Walsall

A homeowner in Wednesbury got in touch because they wanted to completely replace their existing bathroom. The room itself was tired and dated. They had a clear idea of what they wanted it to look like when it was finished, and my job was to make that happen.

What the Job Involved

This was a full bathroom installation. I stripped out everything that was already in there and started fresh. I also fitted a corner basin, which is designed to sit neatly in the corner of the room and free up space. On top of that, I installed a light up mirror and laid new wall and floor tiles throughout the entire bathroom.

When you are doing a job like this, the order of work matters. The tiling has to be right before anything else goes in. If the tiles are not level and properly finished, the rest of the room will not look how it should. I take my time with that part because it sets the standard for everything that follows.

A freestanding bath is a statement piece. It sits in the middle of the room and draws the eye. That means the pipework feeding it has to be finished cleanly because it is on show. There is nowhere to hide it behind a panel. Getting that right takes careful planning before a single tile goes up.

The corner basin was a good choice for this particular room. The bathroom was not huge, and fitting a standard basin would have eaten into the usable floor space. The corner position kept things open. The light up mirror finished the room off well. It adds practical light right where you need it when you are using the basin.

When the job was done, the room looked completely different to the one I had walked into. The freestanding bath, the tiling, the basin and the mirror all worked together. It felt like a proper, well considered bathroom rather than a quick swap of fittings.
